I’m a bit overwhelmed if I’m honest, but my headline writer plug-in says awesome is a better word. Luckily I don’t let it write my books. So I’m on the longlist for 2021’s BSFA Awards. I feel super lucky and privileged to have gotten there. And kind of eclipsed by giants. This years list is a jaw-dropping who’s who of Sci-Fi, which means a) its a huge compliment to have gotten this far and b) I don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of getting any further! Thank you to the judges who’ve organised all of this so far, they’ve got so much to read, there are about 75 books on the novels list alone. The BSFA do an amazing job and I’ve got to say, of all the memberships I’ve ever paid for, the BSFA one is by far the best value! (You get fantastic quality magazines every five minutes and the gatherings and live interviews are amazing fun.) Not that I’ve got an ulterior motive but members would also get to vote for my super-talented and already award-winning friend Ida Keogh, whose Novella, Fish is up for an award there. Just sayin’.

FIsh by Ida Keogh, which you can get by clicking on the picture. You could vote for this if you joined the BSFA. Did I mention that?

Lastly, but not leastly, this isn’t the last you’ve heard of the cool kids of the #BSFA! I’m going to start interviewing them on here on a semi-regular basis. Till then, go keep yourself out of trouble by joining the BSFA and voting for amazing indie authors 😉
